A documentary on rising K-pop girl group quartet BLACKPINK will be released on Oct 14 on Netflix.

Titled BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky, the documentary follows members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé's and Lisa on their journey to becoming one of South Korea's biggest girl groups.

The film will showcase exclusive interviews with never-before-seen footage of each member, from their trainee days to the global sensations they are today.

The documentary is directed by Caroline Suh, director of Netflix documentary Salt Fat Acid Heat, produced by Cara Mones and executively produced by Jon Kamen, David Sirulnick and Zara Duffy at RadicalMedia.

Netflix's Adam Del Deo, VP Documentary Features, said: "The K-pop phenomenon has been sweeping the globe and BLACKPINK has arguably become the most recognisable and most popular girl group in the world.

"Director Caroline Suh's trusted relationship with Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa offers organic and honest moments that give viewers an authentic inside look into the lives of BLACKPINK, as well as the dedication and grueling preparation each member puts into every hit song, history-making performance and sold-out arena tour.
