#LightforSG is held in commemoration of World Mental Health Day and features messages of hope to reach out to mental health patients.
In support of World Mental Health Day, The Red Box will be lit up on Oct 10.
The light up is part of #LightforSG, a light projection initiative that aims to “be a pillar of light for Singapore and bring home a cheer for everyone”.
The set up will feature empowering messages to send a message of hope for mental health patients.
In his Facebook post, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong said that although mental health patients may feel “lost, alone and adrift”, the feelings of hope can be a shining light to guide and inspire them.
The National Youth Council Singapore will cast a spotlight on the topic of mental health in Singapore this October too.
Aside from the light up, you can play your part by joining the conversation on mehgowhere.sg to share how you think youths can be encouraged to speak up about mental health.
