In celebration of World Bread Day on Oct 16, Sunshine Bakeries is allowing you to nominate your HDB block to receive a free delivery of Sunshine Bread.

In celebration of World Bread Day on Oct 16, Singapore bakery Sunshine Bakeries aims to revive the "Kampung Spirit" of sharing and bonding over food by launching a campaign, Share the Sunshine Love.

Share the Sunshine Love calls upon residents to nominate their neighbourhood to receive four freshly-baked buns per household.

In total, Sunshine Bakeries plan to give 40,000 buns to 10,000 households around Singapore.

For those who do not wish to keep the buns, they are encouraged to share them with neighbours or give it to others in need. From now till Oct 19, residents can visit this link to key in details about their neighbourhood such as their block and area.

There are no prerequisites for nominations such as memberships or prior purchases.

Successful applicants will be sent a message and receive their buns from Oct 16 onwards.

"As Singapore's first bakery, Sunshine is marking 90 years of bread crafting amidst extraordinary times. We have witnessed how the community has rallied together staying united and cooperative in adhering to social distancing and limiting social interactions to keep each other safe.

"Sunshine's Share the Sunshine Love initiative hopes to rekindle the spirit of camaraderie and giving on this year's World Bread Day, by sharing a healthy and tasty treat with neighbours and cheering each other on as we continue to remain vigilant," said Michelle Ang, Head of Marketing, Sunshine Bakeries.
