1. Mamma Mia (Greece)

This feel-good classic stars Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried, who plays the mother-daughter duo, Donna and Sophie. 

In preparation for her wedding, Sophie secretly invites three men from her mother's past in hopes that one of them is her father. 

Filmed around the Sporades Islands and the Volos peninsula, this movie will take you on a ride with the beautiful scenery of Greece. From sandy beaches and picturesque villages, you will surely get your fill of the Greek charm. 

2. Before Sunrise (Vienna)

American traveller Jesse (Ethan Hawke) meets French student, Celine (Julie Delpy) on a train in Europe. 

After connecting over long conversations, Jesse convinces Celine to accompany him on his last day in Vienna. They wander the streets of the city together until the morning of his flight back home. 

This movie brings you the seemingly mundane things that you can find on the streets of Vienna when the city is asleep. From quaint cafes to public parks, the movie captures the just enough views of Vienna for your mini vacation to Austria for a day.

3. Midnight in Paris (Paris)

As the title suggests, this movie will submerge you in the ambience of Paris. Apart from the typical Eiffel Tower, this movie brings you to many notable spots like the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Pont Alexandre III bridge. 

This romance movie follows an aspiring writer, Gil (Owen Wilson), who makes a trip to Paris with his fiancee, Inez (Rachel McAdams). With a touch of fantasy, he finds himself in the 1920s, parading with icons like Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Pablo Picasso. 

Filmed in numerous iconic places, this movie will make you fall in love with Paris (if you haven't already). As the movie takes place in both modern-day and 1920s Paris, you will not only be transported to another city but also to another era. 

4. Eat Pray Love (Rome, Bali, India)

5. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (Greenland and Iceland)

Ben Stiller stars as Walter Mitty, who lives his monotonous life as an employee at Life Magazine in New York City and embarks on an adventure in search for the perfect photo for the final issue of the magazine. 

This movie is especially known for its panoramic shots of Greenland and Iceland. From mountains to volcanoes, you'll definitely feel a sense of escape from Singapore's concrete jungle. No doubt this movie will take you on a ride to the other side of the world.
