This weekend isn’t just about 10.10 sales, as there are plenty of other activities that you can do too.

It's crazy how fast time flies and the weekend is upon us once again (and it's already the second weekend in October!)

While there isn't anything monumental taking place, there are still a variety of exciting events happening. Here are five things to do this weekend:

1. Go online shopping

It's Oct 10 this Saturday! This means that you don't have a lot of time left to snag cheap deals at the Shopee 10.10 Brands Festival.

Up for grabs are various home appliances and electronic products where you can get up to 25 per cent cashback with no minimum spending. There will also be a daily midnight brand flash sale from 12am to 2am.

More details can be found here.

2. Learn about dementia patients

Back for its third run, this time online, The Enabling Festival aims to connect with caregivers and provide people with an insight to people with dementia.

This year's festival will focus on 'sIGHT'. Various health professionals will answer questions from the ground on the theme, 'Do You See What I See", which invites audiences to see what the caregiver or people with dementia see.

The programme includes informative films, talks, theatre and movement classes. Check out the full festival schedule here.

3. Watch some films

National Gallery Singapore's annual film festival, Painting with Light, is back!

The festival features an anthology of short films from Southeast Asia. The exhibition, which is taking place virtually, will be split into three chapters.

These films will reframe the notion of "home" and are exclusively available for viewing in Singapore only, so be sure to catch them! More information can be found here.

4. Learn more about public health with Every Body Plays A Part

COVID-19 may be the first health pandemic the younger generation is experiencing, but it is definitely not the first one to have hit humankind.

The National Museum of Singapore is holding an exhibition, Every Body Plays A Part, which uses the concept of the "body" to showcase the little-known side of Singapore's history of public health.

The online event is split into four different exhibits and you can explore them here.

5. Play some mini golf in a bar

Holy! Can you actually play golf in a bar?

Located in Clarke Quay, Holey Moley is a bar famous for its mini golf courses with funky names such as "Crappy Gilmore" and "Teevel Knievel".

The bar also serves up a wide variety of food such as mini burgers and one-metre long pizzas.

Alcoholic drinks are also available, but just be sure to consume them by 10.30pm as per the new COVID-19 restrictions. Check out the full menu here
