I looked for a sugar daddy but got creeped out instead.
I recently came across a newspaper article talking about calling a ban for websites that linked up sugar daddies and sugar babes. Out of curiosity, I decided to find out how it works.
I set up an account with the first sugar daddy website that came up through an Internet search. But after three days, I was so creeped out and was itching to delete my account.
I always thought that I was an adventurous and wild person but this was a total out of water experience.
Browsing through other sugar babes' profiles, I was taken aback by how blatant they were. Girls aged 20 to 25 years old were openly seeking a purely business kind of relationship.
They were cheeky in their profile descriptions. Some openly said they were "definitely not looking for a relationship", but just for someone to help them out financially. In return, one promised to give her sugar daddy his "required favour" in return. This made me cringe because we all know what that is about.
I followed suit and added in my own cheeky one liner, similar to the lines of "Darling I'm a nightmare dressed in a daydream," that kind of cheesy stuff.
During the three days I was on the site, I received messages from five men. Three of them gave me their numbers and asked me to contact them. The other two asked me what I was looking for.
One wrote: "What are your terms?"
It was all business from the get-go, no friendly greetings, no "How are you?". I felt like I was up for sale.
I THINK HE GOT ANNOYED BECAUSE I DID NOT REALLY KNOW WHAT TO REPLY HIM. THEN HE GOT RUDE.
I decided to do a search on those who gave me their numbers. It turned out that two of the men were married. I was so disgusted. One of them even had a photo of his wife as his Facebook display picture. The men looked as old as my father, or older. Even though I never responded to their messages, I felt guilty immediately because it felt like I was wrecking a marriage.
MEET MARRIED SUGAR DADDY #1
SUGAR DADDY #2
This experience traumatised me because it made me realise how this real this issue is in our society. It kills me to see how these beautiful girls are willing to "spend time", even sexually, with strangers just for money.
The men, albeit rich, were really not good-looking and very old.
It may be a faster way to get money but at the end of the day, is it worth it? For me, I am definitely not for such a
relationship business transaction. No thank you.
